Hon. Lucy Mwakyembe, MP, has highlighted the importance of fair labour practices, decent working conditions and stronger protection for workers.

Speaking in relation to labour and employment priorities, she stressed that decent work remains central to dignity, productivity and inclusive economic participation.

She noted that workers’ welfare requires continuous attention through policy dialogue, public engagement and parliamentary contributions that support fair treatment in the workplace.

Hon. Mwakyembe further reaffirmed her commitment to advancing issues connected to labour rights, employment and economic participation through her role as a CCM Special Seats Member of Parliament representing workers.
